Gud Dhaani or “Daal Baati” as I have ever remembered it is located in a corner of BTM Layout 2nd stage overlooking the Madiwala Lake. A spacious parking space considering the place is mostly frequented by biker bachelors.

From the outside, you would be slightly suspicious of the food and hygiene quality which you might come across inside. But lay aside that inhibition and step in. The bamboo sticks for partitioning the space into dining areas have been well made and gives the assumption of ample space. No false pretensions and No false claims on the menu. The menu claims only genuine food for the hungry and that is what it delivers.

The food will consist mainly of Rajasthani thalis with multiple combinations. My favorite being Hara Bhara Karela from the menu. Many will turn their heads and say Yuck to that. But its good. Shahi Bhoj is another thali that you must try but beware – its a lot for one man’s platter.

There are many other options to be tried there. I will try to visit them this weekend to try Daal Baati, their Weekend special. Hope it is worth the expectation I have set up already.
